Production Planning Manager
required to plan production volumes and priorities based on customer requirements, while ensuring that the necessary materials for such plans are always compliantly available to support optimum production flow.
This role involves line managing the materials function group, so the required candidate must have proven experience in leading & developing the procurement and planning team.
Responsibilities of Production Planning Manager:
Lead process improvements to ensure inventory is optimized.
Project managing NPI and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage material supply to ensure manufacturing demands & targets are achieved.
Providing timely and appropriate Material availability information to internal customers.
Develop a culture of compliance to GMP procedures, with strong focus on risk assessment & elimination.
Driving both the long term and short term capacity plans for manufacturing line.
Requirements of Production Planning Manager:
Honours Bachelors Degree in Science, Engineering, Business or similar, with APICS certification.
8 years relevant experience in a materials / manufacturing environment.
Proven experience of MRP systems, SAP experience is highly desired.
Proven manufacturing experience needed to manage production planning process steps for NPI.
Understands Lean planning and execution techniques.
