Vendor Manager - Supply Chain & Packaging
required to perform a highly visible role within their company, in the areas of; Supply Chain, Quality and Six Sigma Programs.
The Role:
continue to develop new supply sources with purchasing team while providing leadership in the management of a team dealing with all aspects of supplier selection and support for packaging and plastics components within the Purchasing area.
Responsibilities of Vendor Manager - Supply Chain & Packaging: Work closely with suppliers locally and globally and to execute Value Engineering opportunities to take cost out of product.
Drive value improvement programmes with suppliers & support validation plans for new & substitute materials/suppliers Drive Quality System within the Supply Base - working with Purchasing, Supplier Quality Engineering, Receiving Inspection & the Value Streams to ensure that components meet our requirements. Support supplier quality rating to a level which allows certification or dock to stock programs to be implemented.
Requirements of Vendor Manager - Supply Chain & Packaging: Bachelor's degree and minimum 8 years relevant work experience in similar role. 10+ years industry experience, with track record in delivering project on time & within budget.
Demonstrated track record in development of new supply sources will be a distinct advantage. Project Management skills to manage supplier/material changes within the Company & with the Suppliers. Six Sigma Green Belt certification is desired.
