Retail Field Managers - FMCG - Permanent
To lead a team of Retail Field Managers and Wholesale Managers who will execute the brand plans at point of purchase for Oral Health, OTC’s and Nutritional drinks in major Retail and Wholesale Grocery outlets across Ireland
Responsibilities
•Manage the team of Retail Field Managers and Wholesale Representatives to achieve or exceed sales targets and goals set for each sales cycle
•Estimate, track and report on performances by cycle toward achievement of goals and targets
•Develop and leverage business relationships with major customer groups in Ireland.
•Conduct regular combined team meetings with Retail Field Sales Managers and Wholesale Representatives to review performances, to brief out future activities, and to fully motivate the teams for successful execution of brand strategies and plans
•Agree annual PDP’s with all direct reports and use the document as a tool for performance management, development planning and talent discussions
•Meet regularly with reports to formally and informally review performance and to coach around agreed improvements
•Ensure all direct and indirect reports are fully supported by training and take responsibility for their learning and development
•Ensure that the activity of competitors, customers and grocery trade are clearly communicated and understood internally
•Cascade business communications positively to the Field
•Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role as required
People Management Responsibilities
6 direct reports and 23 indirect reports
Create a team which sells to within guidelines as directed by National Accounts but also shows ownership for their role and displays creativity in achieving results
Qualifications:
Third level degree / masters in a business or related discipline
Experience and understanding of the dynamics of FMCG environment at retail and wholesale
