Polymer Process Specialist
required to lead polymer process improvements through; material selection and qualification, equipment / mould procurement and introduction, process development, optimization and validation, and troubleshooting and fault finding of processes and equipment in the moulding / extrusion department.
The plant’s core activities are plastic processing, extrusion, moulding, state of the art assembly automation, packaging and in-house sterilisation.
Responsibilities of Polymer Process Specialist:
Leading the Mould and Machine maintenance functions.
Management of Production Schedules and ensuring adherence to work schedules.
Preparation and tracking of performance against department operating budget.
Ensuring quality, efficiency and cost requirements are met.
Implementing CA / PA actions identified through the quality process.
Ensuring strict compliance with all regulatory and GMP requirements.
Preparation for and participation in internal and external quality audits.
Requirements of Polymer Process Specialist:
Third level Degree or Degree in Polymer Engineering or similar.
4+ years’ injection moulding / plastics processing manufacturing experience.
Experience of working in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment is required.
