The US-Ireland R&D Partnership programme is a unique initiative involving funding agencies across the three jurisdictions of the United States of America (USA), the Republic of Ireland (RoI) & Northern Ireland (NI). The partnership continues to go from strength-to-strength in terms of successful applications and the continuing support of funding partners in the RoI, NI and the US.
Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) together with partner funding agencies has updated and re-launched the documentation relating to this programme. Prospective applicants should review the documentation on the programme webpage to ensure familiarity with the updated requirements and processes for the programme.
Science Foundation Ireland will continue to manage the RoI aspect of applications under the US-Ireland R&D Partnership programme to the National Science Foundation. Under a new partnership structure with the Health Research Board (HRB) whereby SFI and the HRB will operate a rotating administration in the RoI of the NIH aspect and will co-fund the RoI element of all applications that are approved for funding by the NIH, the HRB will now manage applications under the US-Ireland R&D Partnership programme to the National Institutes of Health.
