Balloon Moulding Engineer
Our client, a fast growing medical devices innovation and manufacturer based in Galway now have a permanent vacancy for Balloon Moulding Engineer.

The successful candidate will develop and implement manufacturing business improvement projects and processes for disposable medical devices. The role will support teams to make improvements to existing devices and manufacturing processes and lead less complex projects independently with minimal supervision.

This hire will provide daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (KPIs) in line with business needs.

Responsibilities for Balloon Moulding Engineer:
Analyses process, product, material or equipment specifications and performance requirements.
Compiles and analyses operational, test and experimental data to establish performance standards for newly implemented or modified products / processes.
Troubleshoots new products / process working closely with product development.
Continually seeks to drive / improvements in process design, layout and operational performance.
Application of validation techniques and associated regulatory requirements.
Understands and comply with all the regulations governing the quality systems.
Ensures all direct reports are aware of their commitment to patient safety and product quality, are current with their training requirements and that they understand and comply with all other regulations governing their work.

Requirements for Balloon Moulding Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree (Level 8) qualified, ideally in Polymer/Materials Engineering or equivalent.
3+ years' work experience in a similar role.
Strong theoretical & practical knowledge of core polymer processes with particular emphasis on Balloon Moulding equipment and process engineering.
Demonstrated working knowledge of equipment and process validation.
Excellent technical capabilities, communication skills, teamwork abilities and initiative
Medical Device industry experience a distinct advantage.
