Communications Manager Dublin
Our Client is recruiting for a Communications Manager for R&D Biopharmaceutical company This is a permanent position located in Dublin / Leinster Reporting to the Site Director. The is Communications Manager role will appeal to individuals who are looking to join a fast-growing company and who want to make an impact during a period of exciting change.

Responsibilities
Internal Communications (70%):
Develop and execute employee communications strategy to inform, engage and inspire employees in line with company global and local business priorities:
Conduct research to develop local employee communications strategy, e.g. competitive analysis, employees’ surveys to measure baseline, interviews, desk research, etc.
Define site specific communications objectives in alignment with the local and global business priorities.
Measure and report communications performance. Recommend action plans based on learnings.
Create a comprehensive content strategy and an editorial plan by bringing together the agendas of GMS, Global Quality, Environment Health and Safety, and AGILE (lean transformation program); connect the dots and ensure streamlined communications.
Create and disseminate multimedia content (articles, videos, infographics, presentations, etc.)
Simplify complex messages and tailor them to the needs of the audiences.
Storyboard or translate ideas to the creative agencies.
Assess and optimise existing communications channels to reach employees, launch new innovative channels if needed to drive engagement.
Manage and maintain communications channels on daily basis (newsletters, TV screens, Yammer, Intranet, etc.)
Support the global Communications Head in rolling out a global agenda on the plant level.
Reliable partner within by promoting the stories to the global audiences e.g. on global LinkedIn and Twitter channels, Pulse e-magazine, etc.
Plan and oversee internal events, e.g. town halls.
Recommends and implement further tactics to reach business objectives, e.g. Community Service Days to build a relationship with the local communities, “Meet the Patient” sessions to re-inforce company purpose, etc.
Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external messages.
External Communications (30%):
Media relations:
Responsible for media relations, including preparing articles, press kits, press releases, and other content initiatives. Cultivates and manages relationships with media and government representatives:
Ensure the company protects and promotes its image in a proper, coordinated, and consistent manner.
Cultivate and enhance collaborative working relationships within the press and government officials.
Monitor reputation in Ireland, create action plans to enhance company reputation.
Create effective external communication channels, e.g. Twitter/LinkedIn accounts for Ireland or similar.
Act as a media spokesperson on behalf of the company and address enquiries.
Develop relationships with national press contacts to ensure the company reputation is promoted.
Plan and oversee external/press events.
Assemble press kits, compose and edit press releases, company literature, and articles for external use. Prepare articles and press releases for the media.
Employer brand in Ireland
Develop and execute a robust employer brand strategy
Establish and oversee the communications narrative and message framework.
Generate ideas and create collateral to tell the Ireland story by utilizing various multimedia formats, e.g. videos, infographics, presentations, posters, brochures, etc.
Audiences analysis and segmentation [who do we want to reach].
Channels assessment and recommendations [how do we reach them], e.g. LinkedIn, job fairs, external publications, Glassdoor, etc.
Development and execution of the editorial plan [concrete schedule of communications activities].
Measurement and reporting.
Crisis and issues communications plans:
Prepare and execute communications plans in situation of issues/crisis.
Determine and create communications collateral
Ensure alignment with the GMS HQ, the UK Communications team as well as company crisis management policies.

Background Education & Experience/Skills:
University degree in communications, public relations or journalism.
Languages: Fluency in English (mandatory)
At least 5 years’ experience in the communications field
Understanding of healthcare industry
Excellent written and verbal skills
Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills
Understanding of social media/digital and its potential for the organization
Multi-tasker and good project manager
