EHS Manager

An opportunity has arisen with my client a large multinational for the position of EHS Manager.

The EHS Manager is a key member of my client?s team and will report directly to the Managing Director of the site, the successful candidate will have to have experience in a similar position within Pharmaceuticals.

This is a permanent role based in Dublin with competitive salary and benefits

Responsibilities of the EHS Manager:

? Ensure client facility operates in full accordance with current health and safety and environmental legislation and complies with the IPPC License
? Ensure that adequate and up to date policies and procedures are in place in order to make the site a safe working environment for all staff.
? Ensure that all staff receive appropriate and relevant training as required, that associated with new/revised SOPs, health and safety issues and/or environmental issues
? Act as EHS Advisor to various projects, where deliverables may comprise buildings and equipment, manufacturing processes, systems and procedures and may be new or modifications to existing
? Highlight health, safety and environmental issues and propose suitable means of addressing them
? Maintain and generate EHS Metrics monthly and ad hoc reporting to the management team
? Maintain regular risk assessments in accordance with legislation and implement risk reduction or risk management solutions where appropriate
? Coordinate Health and Safety and Environmental audit programs
? Ensure adequate emergency response procedures are in place for all eventualities
? Liaise with regulatory authorities such as EPA and local County Council
? Coordinate Safety and Environmental Committees

Requirements of the EHS Manager:

? A Degree in Occupational Health and Safety is required with NEBOSH accreditation desirable
? 3-5 years? experience in a similar role
? Chartered member of IOSH (or plan to attain same)
? IPPC licence experience
