Equipment Engineer, Projects
Our client, a multinational medical devices manufacturing company based in Cork, now seeks an Equipment Engineer for the development of automation solutions from concept through feasibility, user requirement specification, vendor selection and procurement.

The successful candidate will work in cross-functional partnerships to identify and resolve production/engineering issues, scoping out and developing new equipment/processes in line with continuous improvement program. In turn the hire will managing the planning and execution of equipment validations in line with regulatory guidelines.

The ideal candidate will oversee the specification and purchase of capital equipment ensuring balance between optimizing technological capabilities and return on investment.

This hire with develop and maintain relationships with technical management in sister sites and R&D and stay abreast of all relevant technological advancements.

Requirements for Equipment Engineer, Projects:
Degree or Masters in relevant Engineering or Science discipline
4 years’ manufacturing experience, of which ideally 2 years in an Equipment Engineering role.
Technological pioneer, willing to source, investigate and implement technological and automation advances on the floor.
Project Management skills would be a distinct advantage.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to make effective decisions.
Excellent problem solver.
Excellent communications ability.
Experience in problem solving and process improvement methodologies.
