Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis with particular emphasis of Direct Labour reporting. Prepares financial plans and forecasts based on performance expectations. Gathers and publishes financial information related to historical, current and future performance. Performs financial analysis utilizing appropriate financial concepts and techniques. Recommends alternative courses of action.
Responsibilities
Lead monthly close process and reporting for assigned areas, including preparation of month-end journal entries and related account reconciliations; analyse results, address issues, explain trends and variances to plan, forecast and prior year
This Senior Financial Analyst position will be responsible for supporting the production function, with involvement in planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision support activities in particular in relation to Direct Labour productivity and spend.
Prepare journal entries and assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level.
Prepare and distribute financial reports and packages by gathering and analysing information related to current performance.
Perform financial analysis, as directed by management, and recommend alternatives courses of action by utilising appropriate financial tools. (e.g. EVA, NPV analysis).
Evaluate new business opportunities, potential acquisitions, new products, tax planning and spending initiatives by modelling alternative financial scenarios (e.g. revenues, profitability etc).
Prepare sensitivity analysis impact on revenue, expenses and profitability by modelling changes in key variables (recommending appropriate course of action).
Develop and utilise sound financial processes
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualified Accountant ? ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA with 5+ years post qualified experience. Experience in a large multinational manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent financial system skills & excel are essential.
Strong analytical & interpersonal skills.
