Job Description
Our client, an emerging biotech company, now seek a highly motivated Head of Development for the development and commercialization of their new innovative technology platform focusing particularly on immuno-oncology applications. This is a permanent role based in the greater Dublin area.
The successful candidate will be a member of the core leadership team, representing the company at collaborator meetings and during technical discussions.
This hire with develop, lead and direct the scale-up of the company’s technology through process development and validation to GMP standards. Ability to effectively manage multiple, complex priorities.
Ideally, this hire will be experienced in bioprocess engineering with platform technologies in GMP industry. Experience with advanced molecules such as mRNA, proteins and gene editing tools is preferred.
Requirements for Head of Development, Bioprocess Technology:
Bachelor of Engineering or Science, ideally in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or engineering or pharmacy. Advanced qualification is preferred.
10 years relevant experience in process development or engineering of a mammalian cell-based biopharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
Proven track record in leading a team of technology focused engineers or scientists.
Proven ability to analytically review experimental results.
Experience of developing cell based quality control test methods.
Proven experience of GMP, Biopharma and/or Medical Device regulations required to support the technology.
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, good presentation, negotiations and influencing skills.
