Human Resources Director (Dublin)

This is a rare opportunity to play a key leadership role in a young biopharmaceutical company.

With a management team that includes unique world class expertise in their clinical field, our client is a young exciting biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery of solutions to a number of serious debilitating diseases. Rapid expansion has led to the need to create a key leadership role in their Dublin office.

The newly appointed Human Resources Director will in conjunction with the Site Leader, Senior Functional Leaders and Head of HR International, take responsibility for the development and implementation of the people plan for the departments based in Dublin to deliver the business strategy and forecasted organizational growth.

Job Spec :  

Provide generalist HR support and advice on daily operational 0issues to the functional Teams operating from the Dublin Head office which include Technical Operations, Global Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Treasury and Legal.
Responsible for the management of all people processes (recruitment, induction, performance management, talent management) that enable managers to effectively deliver the business agenda and ensure that the processes are in compliance with the corporate standards.
Responsible for maintaining the HR systems and local infrastructure that will support the growth of the new business.
In close collaboration with the Head of HR International as well as an external provider, develop and implement competitive compensation plan for Dublin based employees using internal and external benchmarking. Review salary and benefits on a regular basis in line with Compensation Philosophy in order to ensure that they are both business appropriate and market competitive.
Collaborate with Learning and Development colleagues to ensure that there is an effective plan for the development and training for all employees.  Ensure effective implementation of development plans and training activity to include the documentation of all training records.
Responsible for all Employee Relations to include advising managers on employment law matters, supporting managers to deal with performance or grievance issues in a legally compliant manner, ensuring all policies and procedures and updated, establishing and maintaining a  productive relationship with any employee representative bodies.
Develop effective supplier partnerships with external provider of services, support and data to the HR department.
Establish close communications and a positive working relationship with the Head of HR International, Senior HR Business Partner Manufacturing and the broader HR organisation as well as all colleagues within the International 
structure.
Ensure that all HR activity is managed within the budgetary guidelines.
Take responsibility for key projects that impact the global business as part of the wider HR community.
Act as the Head Office champion and role model of the company’s core values and ensure that the Dublin 
organizational culture develops in support of them.

Person Spec:

Batchelor degree or equivalent.

A depth of human resources leadership experience ( must include pan European experience) that includes at least 6 - 7 years’ experience at management level. Some experience working globally a distinct advantage.

Proven experience delivering and embedding HR best practice approaches & methodologies.
Proven ability to build strong working relationships with all key stakeholders.

Good understanding of HR systems and HR metrics.

Excellent understanding of HR administrative processes
Strong influencing and communication skills

Good working knowledge of current employee legislation and HR policies and procedures

Be a strong ambassador for Company Mission, Vision and values and proactively partner with all stakeholders in order to instil and maintain positive Culture.
