Instrumentation Technician

Due to continued expansion of their operations our client an established Manufacturing company now required an experienced and qualified Instrumentation Technician.

The Instrumentation Technician role involves daily interactions with client managers and client maintenance systems. The main job function is maintenance of Instrumentation & Controls including calibrating and fault-finding to solve any Instrumentation issues on an FDA regulated facility.

This is a permanent role based in Cork with excellent progression opportunities

Key Responsibilities of Instrumentation Technician

? Perform Maintenance & Calibration, troubleshooting, installation and repair of Instrumentation equipment including completing all documentation such as calibration certificates, work orders, preventative maintenance and Procedures to a high standard.
? Apply good instrumentation practice to instrument identification, tagging, interval analysis, criticality and assessment while working within on-site projects.
? Equipment worked on will include but not are not limited to standard measurement parameters such as Flow, Temperature, Humidity, ph, Conductivity, Pressure, Weighing, etc
? All Calibrations and service work will be completed to the satisfaction of the customer.
? Use your own initiative to correct any errors or faults with the instrument being worked on and suggesting any ideas to the customer to resolve any issues
? Scheduled On-Call periods will be required on customer sites to attend to out of hour's breakdowns, which is provided by under an allowance and overtime rates.

Requirements of the Instrumentation Technician:

? Degree/Diploma level course such as Applied Physics and Instrumentation but with existing site experience, Time-Served Apprenticeship would be considered with right experience
? Understanding or working knowledge of ISO17025 or ISO9001 including documented procedures and have experience working in regulated environments
? Experience with Maintenance and Fault-Finding of Instrumentation and Controls is essential
? Experience of working with a CMS would be a distinct advantage
? Experience working in an FDA environment is crucial
? Must be open to working on an on call rota for which there will be suitable remuneration
