Lead Process Engineer, Pharma
required to manage Product/Process Engineering projects designed to deliver robust predictable and optimised manufacturing processes for our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Leinster.

The successful hire will provide technical support and oversight on manufacturing processes relating to commercial manufacture. This is an initial long fixed-term contract role with the view to go permanent.

Responsibilities of Lead Process Engineer:
Project management in developing, tracking and communicating plans for assigned projects, ensuring objectives are achieved on time and in budget.
Driving the use of strategies, resources and processes (OPEX etc.) to improve processing efficiency and to ensure optimised technical support for manufacturing, technical transfer and scale-up of processes to commercial scale.
Provide technical support for change management, investigation CAPA identification and related activities at contractor.
Driving process capability analysis to assess process robustness. Identifying and executing process robustness improvement projects, where required.
Leading risk based decision making and making risk based judgements based on the interpretation of complete and in process data sets.
Promoting open discussion and collaboration, effectively managing conflict within the team.
Developing and clarifying objectives for the team, linked to site strategy and ongoing business demands.
Displaying a well-developed knowledge of engineering principles and cGMP requirements.


Requirements for Lead Process Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree qualifications in Engineering, Science or related discipline.
5+ years GMP manufacturing experience in FDA regulated environment, ideally some of which pharmaceutical industry.
Project Management and/or leadership skills are preferred.
Demonstrated capability in the use of standard tools for root cause analysis.
Proven experienced with new technologies manufacturing environment.
Strong technical problem solving abilities, selecting optimal solutions and implementing decisions.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
