Lean Engineer, Operational Excellence
Our client, a fast paced manufacturing company based in Munster, now seeks an Engineer to lead and co-ordinate Lean Project activities in business with have direct influence in site Operational Excellence strategy and the results of the production business units.


The ideal candidate will develop and implement process improvement through the use lean tools and systems into the organisation, and develop the required culture to ensure its sustained


The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing manufacturing and business process improvements that increase capacity, reduce lead-time, reduce the work-in-process, improve fill-rates, and improve process flow and efficiency.


Responsibilities for Lean Engineer, Operational Excellence:
Participates as a core member in cross-functional teams to quickly troubleshoot and eliminate product supply issues internally or at suppliers.
Convinces internal customer or suppliers to make fundamental changes to their manufacturing and/or business processes so that unbridled supply can be achieved.
Designs, implements and maintains effective metrics with internal customers or suppliers to ensure unbridled supply is achieved.
Makes recommendations to design teams, which drive higher yielding, lower cost, more manufacturable products
Completes capacity analyzes internally and/or at suppliers for headcount, equipment and space requirements using simulation software or other effective tools.

Requirements for Lean Engineer, Operational Excellence:
Honours Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or related technical discipline.
5+ years' experience in a lean engineering / six sigma role, preferably GMP regulated.
2+ years' experience working in high volume manufacturing environment.
Experience with problem solving and process improvement methodologies, e.g. Six Sigma, etc. is desirable.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Project Management skills, business accumen and ability to influence at all levels.
