Lean Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible in supporting the Engineering group in implementing highly capable & effective manufacturing processes to meet KPIs.

The successful candidate with aide the transition of new products from development to regulated commercial manufacture, and lead continuous improvements projects to improve processes and reduce waste.


Responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineer:
Drive increasing efficiency, productivity, yield and space utilisation on the operations floor.
Manage material risks, as identified by the business.
Work closely with our in-house Equipment Design & Engineering workshop in getting equipment / fixtures designed & fabricated.
Leading technical improvements under the site?s continuous improvement program.
To support a prioritised approach in Value Centred Engineering to achieve the key opportunities in quality, service and cost.
Production line monitoring and the identification and quantification of process problems, along with subsequently implementing the necessary improvements and/or controls.
Liaising with the Quality and Operations functions in pursuit of achieving the quality and S&OP targets for each given area.
Participation in cross-functional projects works as dictated by the emerging business needs
Observe the Quality Management Systems requirements on site at all times.
Development and implementation of appropriate supporting documentation which complies with GMP in conjunction with other team members.


Requirements for Manufacturing Engineer:
Honours Degree in science, engineering, materials, biomedical or manufacturing.
3+ years? experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Production Engineering roles in high volume manufacturing industry.
2+ years hands on experience in a manufacturing or process development role, supporting manufacturing.
Experience in equipment support, process ownership, background in validation - process, equipment and software.
Excellent demonstrated problem solving skills Six Sigma - DMAIC process an advantage, working knowledge of Lean principles.
Demonstrated procedural knowledge - plus knowledge of FDA requirements.
Confident communication skills - ability to present to an audience.
Good documentation skills - report writing.
