Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Our client, a blue-chip multinational company, now seek a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to effectively team manage the transition of products from R&D to Operations and the subsequent scale up & validation of a new product to achieve regulatory approval & launch.

The successful hire will also balance a significant portion of time to managerial, leadership, and employee development of their area.

This is a permanent role based in Munster.


Responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineering Manager:
Manage departmental basics including budgeting, hiring, day-to-day management, project resourcing, etc.
Develops and executes departmental budgets and capital spending.
Develops a world class-manufacturing group that is proficient in problem solving manufacturing issues using Six-Sigma tools.
Drives Integrated Business Plan contract deliverables by providing input on process technology selection.
Works with Value Stream and Quality Engineering Manager to deliver business objectives ? lean manufacturing metrics, VIP, cycle time, scarp as %VOP etc.Leads or represents function in periodic business metric reviews.
Initiates cross-functional partnerships to identify and resolve production/engineering issues.
Prioritizes and drives execution of multiple complex department projects. Sponsors and supports Operations Value Improvement Process (VIP) or Strategic Activity Review (STAR) projects.
Maintain compliance metrics around adherence to preventative maintenance schedule and calibration schedule.
Ensure relevant documentation is prepared and updated in line with all Quality and Regulatory guidelines (including GMP).
Develop and maintain relationships with technical management in sister sites and R&D.

Requirements of Manufacturing Engineering Manager:
Honours Bachelor of Engineering (mechanical, polymer or chemical). Additional Masters Degree a distinct advantage.
10+ years of technical/professional experience within Engineering, ideally in a Director role or similar.
5+ years people management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experienced / trained in problem solving and process improvement methodologies.
Proven experience in FDA regulated, GMP environment is highly desirable.
