Manufacturing Engineering Manager
required to mentor and develop a team of manufacturing engineers, while being fully responsible for multiple product lines and associated technology in a World Class manufacturing (cGMP and FDA regulated) facility located in Cork.
The successful candidate will work with Production and Quality Managers to deliver business objectives. Developing a world class-manufacturing group that is proficient in problem solving manufacturing issues using Six-Sigma tools is paramount to delivering these business objectives.
Responsibilities for Manufacturing Engineering Manager:
Devotes a portion of time to managerial, leadership, and staff development responsibilities.
Works with Value Stream and Quality Engineering Manager to deliver business objectives.
Drives Integrated Business Plan contract deliverables by providing input on process technology selection.
Develops and executes departmental budgets and capital spending.
Leads or represents function in periodic business metric reviews.
Initiates cross-functional partnerships to identify and resolve production/engineering issues.
Prioritizes and drives execution of multiple complex department projects.
Sponsors and supports Operations Value Improvement Process or Strategic Activity Review projects.
Responsible for the departmental basics including budgeting, hiring, day-to-day Management, project resourcing, etc.
Lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals.
Direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.
Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements of Manufacturing Engineering Manager:
Honours Degree in relevant discipline. Additional Masters Qualification is desirable.
10+ years relevant experience, with 5+ year?s people management experience (must have managed engineers ? not ops / operators).
Prove experience in mentor & developing engineers, particularly using problem solving methodologies including Six Sigma.
Proven experience in managing budgets and other financials.
Strong Programme or Project Management experience.
