Manufacturing Engineering Programme Manager
required to lead and manage a number of projects within Manufacturing Engineering and associated engineers with our client based in Galway.
The successful hire will scope out areas/projects within manufacturing for process improvements, assign project resources / engineers, in an effort to reduce costs to support business goals.

Responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineering Programme Manager:
Drive effective use of product suite improvement projects system and track cost improvement performance for the product suite.
Develop and drive continuous improvement in product cost plans.
Plan, manage and track capital expenditure versus forecast to ensure commitments are met.
Identify and follow thru on opportunities to leverage cross site expertise.
Develop six sigma expertise and accreditation to take on role of mentoring manufacturing engineers on this competency.
Mentor and develop project management excellence within engineering teams.
Provide support where necessary to production engineers and NPI teams.
Have strong understanding and competency in process control.
Requirements of Manufacturing Engineering Programme Manager:
Bachelor of Engineering, or similar degree (honours degree is pre-requisite).
8+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years line management experience of engineers.
Proven programme management / project management experience, additionally with cost control / budgetary management experience.
Lean or Six Sigma qualification (minimum Greenbelt, higher is highly desirable).
Manufacturing Engineering experience is required.
