Our client, a blue-chip multinational company based in Munster region, now seeks a. Materials Supply Manager within their operations area who manage production planning and material flow through operations; enabling the site to deliver on its goal of commercialising, launching and supplying key products to market.
As a member of site management team, you will have responsibility for the site meeting its target participating in site planning processes for Materials team and overall the success of the site.
This role will lead strategic supply chain; involving long term strategy for material flow in order to support the expected growth throughout the next 3-5 years and support the site’s annual Strategic Plan and Business Plan exercises.
Responsibilities for Materials Supply Manager, Operations:
Manage collaborations between the team and functional support groups such as maintenance, engineering, analytical laboratory, financial, purchasing, HR.
Lead the production scheduling group with responsibility for developing, managing and adjusting the manufacturing schedule to meet market demands.
Develop capability and business processes around logistics of material flow through operations.
Ensure SAP Production demand to the Supply Chain Group is aligned with the production schedule.
Review of any production changes on a monthly basis and preparation of updated SAP forecasts for communication to the Supply Chain Group.
Manage materials management operations group.
Work with team members to identify and implement improvements to work processes to help achieve results and/or improve efficiency of the business.
Task specific (e.g. inventory management systems, supply and demand gathering, production scheduling tools, project management); regulatory issues, appropriate use of decision making tools and techniques.
Management of batch records through release to warehouse, issuance and approval.
Management of production release metrics against planned release dates.
Responsible for Individual Performance Management within the area.
Set job expectations and goals with and for individuals linked to team / site goals.
Develop and maintain good team spirit / morale / employee relations among the team.
Ensure that activities in the area are being carried out in accordance to all safety, GMP, and environmental procedures.
Requirements for Materials Supply Manager, Operations:
Third level honours degree in Science, Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
3 years leadership experience ideally in Supply Chain, with proven experience in supply chain and production scheduling.
5+ years’ experience of master scheduling, capacity planning, materials management, import/export, SAP supply chain functionality, MS Office, project management and analytical tools in high tech manufacturing industry.
Strong leadership & people management skills, self-motivated with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence planning decisions for multiple operations facilities.
Excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking and problem solving skills are mandatory.
Ability to work well with diverse staff and stakeholders in multiple locations.
Understanding of supply chain and regulatory operations in a cGMP environment an advantage.
