Medical Manager, Oncology
Our client, a buoyant commercially driven multinational pharmaceutical company with a strong portfolio of marketed products including an Oncology portfolio, now seek a Medical Manager.

Key remit:
Develop relationships with national investigators and KOLs to provide them with up to date scientific information and support for presentations and articles. This is very much a customer facing role.

This is an 9 month contract role, based in Dublin and reports to the Medical Director.

Responsibilities of Medical Manager:
Identify key customers and engage in in-depth medical and scientific product or disease area discussions / scientific exchange, and presentations in a non-promotional scientific context.
Provide internal stakeholders with medical insights and direction in commercial discussions and decision-making, including brand strategy, tactics and clinical development based on customers? perspectives.
Identify local study opportunities, coordinate and manage local study planning and design, aimed to grow relevant scientific evidence for continued success with market access and sales.
Develop the local medical plan and deliver on data generation, knowledge exchange, data communication.
Develop and maintain effective communications with clinical operations to provide input on feasibility sites and selection as required.
Coordinate approval and monitor progress of investigator sponsored research.
Assist with Company submissions for HTA?s, Hospital protocols and formularies, partaking in meaningful health economic and market access discussion.
Act as a source of medical knowledge including interpreting data, communicating implications and supporting local Marketing Functions.
Ensure that all work complies with current Quality Management Systems, the IPHA Code of Practice internal SOPS and IMB legislation.

Requirements of Medical Manager:
Bachelor?s Degree in Life Science, Chemistry or Pharmacy. Masters or advanced post grad qualification is desirable. Ideally PhD.
4+ years? experience in Medical department of Pharmaceutical Company with an understanding of drug development and pharmaceutical marketing.
Strong knowledge of Oncology is strongly preferred, and additionally other therapy areas.
Relationships with external KOLs and other thought leaders; and external organisations are preferred.
Experience in the principles and techniques of data analysis, interpretation and data clinical relevance.
Proven experience of; SOPs, GCP and ICH, as well as legal and ethical standards and IPHA.
Knowledge of the Irish Healthcare system and good understanding of health economics.
Excellent commercial acumen.

This role will require 50-75% travel required nationally with some international travel.
