Job Description
Our client, a medical devices manufacturer based in Galway / Athlone location, now seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a team of Production employees to achieve production builds and production schedules in line company requirements, meeting customer demands.
The successful hire will managing all aspects impacting the successful functioning of their areas: i.e. people management, product, capacity, quality and training of the Manufacturing Team.
Responsibilities of Production Supervisor:
Monitoring of Team Member performance i.e. output, quality, safety, attendance and in conjunction with HR, carry out timely performance appraisals, counseling and disciplinary actions if required.
Ensure that the production process is efficient and constantly applies a continuous improvement mindset throughout the process.
Executes required validations in line with regulatory standards to include equipment, process and product validations.
Develops his/her team to maximize individual and team wide potential.
Creates and maintains required documentation in line with appropriate regulatory and quality requirements
Ensures product meets customer requirements and the applicable regulatory standards.
Continually seeks to drive improvements in product and process quality.
Requirements for Production Supervisor:
An Engineering or Business degree or equivalent experience.
3 years? experience as a production supervisor ideally within a Medical Device or regulated fast paced GMP Manufacturing environment.
Proven track record in delivering lean improvements on cost reduction projects, in an effort to drive profitability.
Excellent communication / stakeholder management skills.
