Job Description
Our client, a multinational medtech company, now seek an R&D Project Engineer who will operate as a technical lead and project manager representing within the corporate strategic plan to develop novel implantable medtech products.
The successful candidate will build strong partnerships with other technical leaders involved in the consortium facilitating product development. This role will involve coordinating physician interaction to educate and gain feedback as part of the product development process.
This role will require project management on project calls and funding process with the goal to identify additional projects suitable for development, ensuring the company are compliant in any financial, technical or resource audits, both during and post project.
Ideal candidate will understand IP landscape and it's regulation as it pertains to the project/technology.
Requirements of R&D Project Engineer, Medtech:
Honours Degree in Science, Engineering or similar technical field. Masters Degree is advantageous.
5+ years R&D / Product Development experience in manufacturing environment.
Experienced in: Electronics & mechanical design, opto-electronics, drug delivery, medical devices and sterilization.
Excellent and confident verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Strong project and time management skills, ideally Prince II or similar Project Management accreditation is desirable.
Detail oriented and collaborative with strong written communication/ technical writing skills.
