Job Description
My client a leading Multinational Healthcare Manufacturing company now require a Senior Buyer to join their expanding team.
This is a permanent role based in Dublin and it comes with a very good salary with good benefits.
Responsibilities of Senior Buyer
The Senior Buyer will liaise with the Production Department and the Warehouse to determine material requirements and ensure the timely supply of approved materials to Production.
The Senior Buyer will be required to interface with suppliers in: handling RFQs, price and service negotiations; on issues of quality and documentation; on ensuring timelines are clearly communicated.
The successful candidate may have to coordinate and manage other Buyers within the role.
The Senior Buyer will maintain the SAP purchasing system, and this person will be expected to take on ad hoc project work and to take part in Continuous Improvement activities on site.
Requirements of Senior Buyer
3rd Level qualification in Purchasing/Material Management
3-5 years' experience of working in a similar role.
Excellent level of computer literacy and knowledge of ERP systems
Excellent interpersonal skills and clear evidence of leadership skills
Purchasing experience in a similar environment (Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology) is clear advantage.
People management experience is required.
