Our client, a blue-chip multinational healthcare manufacturing company, now seeks a Senior Information Systems Manager to lead an established team, with responsibility for related end user services support across three of their manufacturing sites in Ireland. Location is flexible.
Information Systems provides the infrastructure, the applications and the technical counsel that help accomplish breakthroughs. Core Technologies include; mobile, social, business intelligence and collaboration.
The hire will have great opportunity for further training, career development, enabling each member of the team to deepen their specialist skills and knowledge. This role offers a path to Associate Director.
Responsibilities Senior Information Systems Manager:
~ Maintains and continuously drives to improve service levels for on-site deskside support.
~ Leads the team through changes in the deskside service model (Vendor Based Imaging, eServices Bar implementations).
~ Ensures that there is a high quality communication flow to the users regarding incidents, changes to services and general performance of the deskside function.
~ Maintains validated systems operations state in accordance with internal Software Validation procedures in close cooperation with other Global IS teams.
~ Analyzes the needs of functional departments and establishes detail level objectives, goals, and priorities for ongoing systems support in close cooperation with other Global IS teams.
~ Provides local site level project management support for global IS initiatives that require to be implemented at the sites.
~ Assists in the development and maintenance of strategic roadmaps.
~ Provides monthly IS updates to local site management.
~ Performs the role of single-point-of-contact for service outages/escalations between the plant and global IS
~ Manages the local IS budget for each of the three Irish locations.
~ Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations.
~ Helps to provide governance and facilitation of the portfolio of demand from a specific group business customers.
~ Provides management of teams in three locations.
Requirements for Senior Information Systems Manager:
~ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar technical Bachelor’s Degree.
~ 8+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, 4+ years' of which at managerial level.
~ Proven background and understanding of relevant information technology is required for both the IS infrastructure and applications.
~ Track record of manufacturing processes is required.
