Job Description
Our client, a Medtech company based in Galway, now seeks an experienced production people manager required to drive; production, capacity, quality and training of the Production team for new product introductions and associated production targets, in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have a people centered approach to their management style, while possessing drive, high energy and ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
Previous production / manufacturing line management experience within a high paced highly regulated environment are essential.
Responsibilities of Senior Production Supervisor:
Drive performance i.e. output, quality, safety, attendance and in conjunction with HR, carries out timely performance appraisals, counseling and disciplinary actions if required.
Continually exceed Manufacturing targets i.e. output requirements, line fill targets, efficiency, area safety and plant quality goals.
Lead recruitment process and manage training requirements in conjunction with H.R.
Manage and develop cost improvement initiatives for Production group.
Maintain all areas of responsibility to high levels of GMP.
Support introduction of new products/process in the area.
Implement and support HR policies and practices onto Production floor
Maintain systems and processes to all ISO, cGMP requirements and FDA regulations.
Requirements of Senior Production Supervisor:
Must have Bachelors Degree in; Science, Engineering or similar technical discipline.
4+ years' line management experience, driving performance to KPI.
Proven production experience in preferably a GMP Manufacturing environment.
Experience of working in lean manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
