Strategic Supplier Relationship Specialist, Global role
required to develop and execute optimal Procurement & Sourcing strategies through the selection, development and management of supplier relationships to achieve competitive advantage, related to commodity materials for production.

The successful candidate will provide strategic influence while building value-add relationships with engaged 3rd party suppliers and respective internal stakeholders to increase sourcing efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Procurement Professional that has led large scale negotiations and a proven track record in Supplier Relationship Management.

This role is based in Galway. This is a fixed term contract role with plan to transition to permanent position.

Scope of this role:
Working as part of the Global Sourcing Team, working closely with Team Members and Suppliers word-wide the successful hire will drive supplier/ procurement initiatives to meet overall supply requirements whilst implementing sustainable cost reduction & service improvements globally.

Requirements of Strategic Supplier Relationship Specialist, Global role:
Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Business or similar HETAC level 8 course.
Preferably additional APICS qualification or Diploma in related area (if Degree is not specific).
7+ years Procurement (Strategic Sourcing) and Supplier Relationship Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Extensive knowledge in Market Research and Commodity Management (ideally Packaging, Plastics, Resin, Chemicals, Metals) in any large scale manufacturing environment.
Proven experience of MRP systems, preferably SAP experience.
Proven MS Office skills, to generate; documents, spreadsheets, graphs, presentations, project schedules.
Strong analytical skills to aide quantitative decision making.
Ability to effectively present projects, status, etc. to all levels including directors & site management.
Proven understanding of legal agreements.
