Technical Operations Project Manager, Biopharma
Our client is a fast growing highly profitable multinational biopharmaceutical company with an exciting pipeline of drug compounds at an advanced stage in research now seek a Tech Ops Project Manager for an initial contract role which should develop to a longterm / permanent role.


This newly created role will work as a member of the Project Management department based in the Dublin office, responsible for assisting in the management of cross-functional drug development teams in a matrix organisation.


Job Spec for Technical Operations Project Manager:
Establishing and maintaining project plans and budgets, organising and leading project team meetings, fostering communication and coordination between functional groups, ensuring adequate resourcing to meet goals, identifying risks and mitigations and providing updates on project status to project team leaders.
Work closely with the Senior Director/Director, Project Management to ensure successful completion of project goals on schedule and within budget.
Assist in management of cross-functional drug development project teams and sub-teams
Work jointly with team leadership to guide and motivate project team members
Lead teams in preparing project objectives that support the corporate objectives
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and budgets
Organize interdepartmental activities to ensure completion of the project within scope, on schedule and within budget constraints
Identify project risks and prepare mitigations and contingency plans
Communicate project status and resource constraints to senior management
Ensure that conflicting functional needs are recognized and resolved in a professional and timely manner
Prepare meeting agendas in collaboration with team leader, prepare minutes, decision logs and track action items
Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project milestones and deliverables
Ensure team conflicts are resolved in a professional and timely manner
Prepare project updates for governance meetings and clearly communicate status in written documents and presentations
Participate in implementing improvements to project management processes, tools and infrastructure to ensure ongoing efficiency across the R&D organisation


Person Spec for Technical Operations Project Manager:
Proven experience in project management, which should include independently managing or leading cross-functional project teams in a drug development company
Proven track record of success in Project Management
Experience creating and actively managing integrated timelines and budgets
Strong understanding of the drug development process in Pharma / Biopharma
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities under tight deadlines
Ability to effectively manage multiple diverse cross-functional teams in a matrix organizational structure
Experience creating and managing integrated timelines and budgets
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project)


Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
B.S. in a life science, pharmaceutical science, or business; MBA a plus.
Relevant Project Management qualification.
Responsibilities may require working outside of "normal" hours, in order to meet business demands.
