Vice President, Commercial Manufacturing Operations

Our client is a leading global pharmaceutical leader in innovation. The Vice President, Commercial Manufacturing Operations is responsible for full overall leadership responsibility for Commercial Manufacturing operations.

Job Spec
  • Responsible leading the manufacturing operations for a highly innovative technology, leads the scale-up of facility and organization to support product launch, inventory build-up and on-going commercial production
  • Drive the build-out of the organization to commercial scale production and achieve and sustain excellence in operations
  • Maintains the highest level of cGMP environment, compliance, regulatory and safety standards
  • Provides manufacturing leadership to maintain a culture of quality
  • Provides the necessary planning, organization, prioritization and coordination of the production operations for manufacturing deadlines and goals
  • Leads processes and governance to create a manufacturing strategic plan and goals, short and long-term direction and performance expectations
  • Coordinates production aligned with supply chain demand
  • Develops key performance metrics that measure impact and effectiveness
  • Responsible for staff development, budgeting and cost control
  • Share a culture that is patient-centric, dynamic, performance- and values-driven in its commitment to patients for chronic therapies
  • Key part of a pre-IPO organization that is very well capitalized

Qualifications
  • Widely recognized as a leading Tech Ops expert with extensive knowledge of industry best practices and trends
  • Proven, repeated success with numerous commercial scale-up and product launch programs
  • Strong people leadership capabilities
  • Broad manufacturing and supply chain experience
  • Experienced in preparation for, and success, with pharmaceutical drug product pre-approval inspections
  • Experienced in tech transfer processes, program management, facility commissioning including equipment qualification, validation, preventative maintenance and calibration.
  • Multinational supply chain management experience for US, Europe and the rest of the world
  • Demonstrated ability to solve, and help others to solve, complex problems with creativity and innovativeness
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or related field is required, with an advanced degree in science, engineering, business or related field preferred

Experience:
  • 20 years of relevant manufacturing experience: biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical, drug GMP, formulation, device and aseptic processing
  • World-class and well-rounded manufacturing functional experience (quality, manufacturing science, facilities & engineering, operational excellence, training)

NOTE : The new appointee will work closely alongside colleagues at the companies US plant, before transitioning to the company facility in Ireland
