Accountant / Financial Analyst
Our client is a South Dublin based privately owned corporate services - finance company that operates in one of the most dynamic segments of the international knowledge-based economy.
Business expansion has resulted in the need for a full-time permanent based Accountant / Financial Analyst who will be responsible for the provision of general accounting, reporting, analysis and forecasting services. The mandate of the position is to ensure accurate, efficient and timely reporting and analysis of financial information to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements to enable investors and Management to make informed business decisions and achieve business objectives.
Accurate and timely production of consolidated financial statements, non-consolidated financial statements and other financial reports that satisfy the ongoing requirements of investors and Management.
Providing accurate, timely and relevant analysis of financial statements figures, general ledger accounts, performance versus budget/forecast and corporate metrics.
Maintaining financial statement specifications and supporting documentation.
Actively supporting all budgeting and forecasting activities for the Company.
Interpreting results and providing guidance as a value-added business partner to Management, to support their understanding of the Company's financial performance and the achievement of their business objectives.
Facilitating discussions with other departments to gather information required for financial reporting, budgets and forecasts.
Responding to ad-hoc queries for financial analysis and reporting by investors and Management.
Actively involved in day-to-day and month-end accounting activities, including supporting an efficient monthly financial close process.
Supporting the Accounting team by processing accounting, payables and banking transactions as needed.
Ensuring compliance with internal controls related to financial accounting, reporting and analysis processes and policies.
Preparing adequate, appropriate and timely materials for the annual statutory audit.
Liaising with government agencies and auditors regarding requests for financial information.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships across all areas of the Company.
Participating and completing special projects and duties as assigned.
? Suitable professional accountancy qualification (eg ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA)
? Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("U.S. GAAP").
? Experience gained in an accounting firm with some PQE in a similar role in industry
? Familiarity with U.S. internal controls rules and environments (e.g. Sarbanes-Oxley)
? Strong knowledge of Excel
? Knowledge of Navision and reporting software is desirable but not essential.
? ?Ability to travel abroad as needed
