Electronics Product Development Manager, Medtech

Our clients, a multinational Medtech company based in Munster, now seek an experienced Manager for the Product Development Life Cycle from concept inception through development, launch and sustaining.
The successful candidate will be the technical lead for new product development projects and leading a cross functional/ cross site teams inclusive of developing project plans, contingency plans, resource models and financial models.
This role will impact up the company’s major research development projects, resulting in the development of new or refined technologies, products, materials, processes, equipment to broaden medical devices portfolio.
This is a permanent role based in Munster area.
Responsibilities of Electronics Product Development Manager:
Lead a technical engineering team in the achievement of organizational goals, including managing professional and technical development of direct reports.
Manage the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.
Oversight of designs, development, debug and testing of electrical circuits and systems by using current tools, analysis techniques, and software technologies.
Oversight of designs using PICs and FPGAs and response latency minimization techniques.
Manage EMI/EMC /ESD mitigations as well as MRI related safety
Ensure documentation of electrical development by writing documents, reports, memos and change requests.
Ensure tracking of electrical development efforts by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool.
Oversight of DFM (design for manufacturing) and DFT (design for test).
Ensure product and area meet international standards and regulations in the electronics industry (ISO / CE / FCC).
Requirements for Electronics Product Development Manager:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineer. Advanced Qualifications preferred.
10+ years of related professional electronic engineering experience.
3+ years management experience in electronics / medtech manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Medtech industry regulations ISO13485 and FDA CFR 820.
Experience in DFM (design for manufacturing)
Experience in DFT (design for test)
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are required for collaboration with local and global teams.
