required to engage with the onsite leadership group, providing leadership to the Supplier Quality function and mentoring associated team to drive improvement and corrective actions across Quality remit both internally and with external suppliers, in an FDA regulated manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of project management of new product introductions into commercial manufacture. Also, experience in managing a technical team when working through a problem solving roadmap on a material/component related issues using strong problem solving abilities including; DMAIC, six sigma, etc.
Excellent communicating and influencing skills are imperative, as this hire will deliver presentations on project updates to site leadership team and VP on a regular basis. Also, ability to influence Production and Manufacturing Management will be a key aspect of this role.
This is a permanent role based in Munster region.
Requirements for Lead Supplier Quality Engineer:
Honours Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering or related technical discipline.
8+ years' experience in Quality related role in manufacturing environment, preferably GMP regulated.
Ideally 2+ years' supervisory experience in Quality role within manufacturing environment.
Strong Project Management skills combined with proven consistent execution within committed quality, time and cost targets.
Experience with problem solving and process improvement methodologies, e.g. Six Sigma, etc. is desirable.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
