required to manage the Polymers Engineering team to drive new polymer product development and introduction activities, while maintaining quality & reducing costs.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in identifying and scoping out projects which will result in improvements across key metrics of; quality, service & cost and will have strong technical engineering experience.
Ideally candidates will be experienced in identifying continuous improvements in product cost plans and use effective projects management tools to drive improvements and reduce cost in polymer products.
This is a permanent technical engineering role with a world class healthcare manufacturer in the Galway area.
Requirements of Polymer Manufacturing Engineering Manager:
Honours Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science discipline.
Lean or Six Sigma qualification (minimum Greenbelt, higher is highly desirable).
8+ years' experience in similar role in a world class manufacturing environment.
3+ years' experience line management experience of Degree qualified engineers.
Experienced in transferring and implementing processes into commercial manufacturing.
Proven project management, cost control / budgetary experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good leadership abilities.
Commercial and business experience is ideal.
