Our client, a major multinational pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Dublin, now have a permanent role for a Process Development Chemist to support the launch and commercial manufacturing of new technology
This permanent role will lead technology transfer of new drug candidates to commercial scale and the provision of technical support for existing processes on site.
Responsibilities for Process Development Chemist:
? Provision of technical support to the manufacture of APIs and Intermediates manufactured on site and within the company global network.
? Collaboration with R&D to support the development and the technology transfer of new drug candidates to commercial sites.
? Application of Lean tools and techniques to assess process robustness. Identifying and executing process robustness improvement projects.
? Providing technical guidance in the understanding of root causes for out of trend or out of specification results or deviations.
? Develop systems, processes and ways of working to improve operational robustness, right first time, throughputs and yields.
? Identification and implementation of process improvements for new and existing processes. Complete proof of concept experimentation and support through to commercial scale manufacturing.
? Engage with Drug Product customers and external CMOs to support end to end product management.
Requirements for Process Development Chemist:
PhD in Organic Chemistry.
3+ year?s relevant industrial experience ideally with commercial manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated ability to work across a matrix is desirable.
Subject Matter Expert in relevant API chemistry, process development, process management and troubleshooting, process robustness improvement.
Proven experience in the use of standard tools for root cause analysis and standard statistical tools.
Proven experience in the use of various analytical/diagnostic tools including PAT.
Understanding of process, engineering, analytical and regulatory aspects.
