Our client, a Biotech company based in Munster region, now seeks a Process Engineering Manager for the process engineering function and team, and support the process engineering in line with KPIs and business plan.
The successfully candidate will be responsible for the productivity and development of process engineers, ensuring that reliable and compliant equipment and systems are used in the drug substances and drug products. The Process Engineering Manager is expected to lead team and group in the areas of safety, quality, engineering, and continuous improvement.
Responsible for supervising and coaching process engineering staff for their respective area (online and offline), including completing performance reviews and development planning.
Oversight of process engineering staffing including recruitment, resource planning, and succession planning.
Provide leadership and develop objectives to deliver Business Plan Goals as it relates to safety, quality, and equipment/process effectiveness and efficiency.
In coordination with engineering function, set and reinforce standards for engineering work product and utilization of first principles.
Maintain metrics to measure performance against business objectives and make necessary changes to improve performance.
Have oversight of engineering related technical issues and improvement initiatives. Review and approve engineering related deviations and change controls.
Provide leadership and partnership for local and major capital projects.
Participate appropriately in site planning processes (capital and resource), representing the interests of the team but with a view to the overall site picture.
Requirements for this role:
Honours Bachelor Degree in a Engineering Science or similar.
7+ years process engineering experience in biotech or pharma industry, drug substance and / or drug product manufacturing.
Previous management or leadership experience including leading or working effectively with a cross functional group.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to train and mentor others.
Strong skills in making risk-based decisions and prioritization.
Effective communication skills and demonstrated through documentation and presentation skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
