Our client, a World Class healthcare company, who going through rapid growth due to a numerous new product introductions from both R&D and recently medical acquisitions, now seek a Project Manager who will lead NPD & NPI projects through commercial manufacture to product launch. This is a permanent role based in Cork.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Project Manager, with proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and teams through product development, product transfer to product launch, both locally and globally.
Additionally this hire will use project management tools for associated projects under their control, coordinating resources and delivering projects on time and budget. This hire will provide input to functional managers on team and team member performance.
Responsibilities will include development of and adherence to project contract (IBP), development of operations launch strategy and leading resolution of problems that impede project progress.
Ideally, this hire will be experienced in managing technical challenges of medical technology applications and new product development, using project management tools including minimising technical risks.
Candidates must have Manufacturing experience and exercise strong communication skills, including presentations to Site and Corporate Leadership teams.
Requirements for Project Manager, NPI to Launch:
Honours Bachelors Degree in Science, Engineering or Masters in Engineer.
Advanced qualifications or certification in Project Management is preferred i.e. PMP or IMPA certified.
Must be proficient with MS Project and Project Management tools.
8+ years technical experience within manufacturing environment, 4+ years of which in project management/operations/new product introduction experience in regulated environment.
Strong experience in project managing significant NPD/NPI activities that require collaboration with cross-functional teams, locally and globally, in transition of product from development to commercial manufacture.
Proven ability to manage and deliver key projects in a timely manner.
Experience of managing & co-ordinating resources.
Experience of budget allocation for projects.
Excellent verbal and written communications to project team and all stakeholders.
Some travel is required, circa 5%.
