Michael describes how Ireland has a strong heritage in bio-pharmaceuticals, is home to 9 of the world’s top 10 companies in pharmaceuticals, employs over 45,000 people directly and has a vibrant ecosystem supporting life sciences and the biopharma industry.
Now in its fifteenth year, SSPC plays a significant role in that system by partnering with enterprise, undertaking research that provides a platform for collaboration among all stakeholders and creating talent generation for the future.
Michael has been a member of the SSPC Governance Committee since 2019, working with the SSPC team providing oversight and shaping the centre’s strategy and direction.
