Artwork Specialist Pharma
The Senior Artwork Specialist will manage the creation of and maintain the process for artwork development for printed packaging components from specification through publishing to external suppliers for artwork globally.
Work with cross-functional project teams and the manufacturing vendor on development for new products and changes to existing printed packaging components.
Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained from other functions where applicable, assure communication is made with third party manufacturer/packager and all necessary proofreading are completed at all stages as per current procedure.
Responsible and accountable for process execution and adherence to required completion date.
Expedite and monitor actions required by other functions until completion.
Ensure all action items are properly closed out in electronic artwork management System.
Carry out data load projects in electronic artwork management systems
If trained as back-up System Business Administrator of the artwork management system, carry out the System Business Admin. duties as required.

Responsibilities
Act as Artwork Subject Matter Expert on New Product / Market Introduction, Tech Transfers or special projects requesting Artwork expertise.
Liaise with key stakeholders such as Regulatory Affairs, Supply Planning, Quality Assurance, Packaging Technology, Commercial, Third Party Manufacturers, Graphics House and Print Vendors regarding all packaging artwork development, establishing and gaining agreement on timelines and implementation
Facilitate the end-to-end Artwork Management processes over the length of the product(s) life cycle. Including workload evaluation and expediting internally and externally, where necessary to ensure on-time delivery of artwork requirements.
Maintain all relevant artwork projects within the electronic artwork management system, ensuring tasks are setup, progressed and completed on time. Carry out artwork approvals, proofreading and printer?s proofs verification checks on the digital comparator
Review and manage Artwork action items in the Change Control to ensure these are properly set up and closed out in line with set timelines
Support and mentor Artwork Technologists as required, and also represent and cover for the Artwork Manager as and when required
Carry out Business Admin duties if trained as Artwork System Business Administrator ? see below.
Coordinate and execute administration of the electronic artwork management system via the System Admin interface, including but not limited to:
Addition and deactivation of users; additions to drop down menus such as new vendors or markets; creating asset associations in the DAL (Digital Asset Library) and the archiving of historical elements
Act as SME for end user support and training
Carry out approved changes to the system such as changes to custom fields and custom field values; addition of fields; deletion of fields; amendments to workflows, creation of workflows and data migration for asset acquisition, in conjunction with the IT department and external system hosting company
Act as main point of contact with the system hosting company in relation to maintenance and running of the system to ensure optimal service
Scheduling & prioritising work through external agencies; Tracking, reporting and metrics

Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor?s degree required
Knowledge of Packaging & Artwork ? technical preferred
Knowledge of Pharma labeling regulations ? current & pending
Experience in Artwork Management and computerized documentation control system
Project Management Skills
IT background & qualification if carrying out Artwork System Business Administration duties.
Excellent communication skill
Excellent written skill
Attention to detail is essential for success in this position
Experience with Electronic Data Management System
Analytic skill on Key Performance Indicators and Report generation
Microsoft Office programs such as Power Point, Excel, Word, Project.
Time Management skill
Must formalise decisions based on experience and past examples regarding printed label components.
Consults with and coordinates internally across the supply chain functions, cross-functionally with global quality assurance, marketing and global regulatory groups; externally with vendors.
Maybe required to travel.
