Associate Director, Corporate Reporting

We have partnered with our leading biotechnology client to source an experienced Associate Director, Corporate Reporting. This is a key role within the Consolidation & Group Reporting team which is responsible for the group consolidation, external reporting, other key management reports and financial analysis.

Essential Functions

•Manage the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements and supporting disclosure schedules including XBRL, in accordance with US GAAP for external reporting on Form 10-Q and Form 10-K

•Manage the preparation of the Group annual statutory financial statements under IFRS

•Maintain a thorough understanding of GAAP reporting and other disclosure requirements and assist in accounting research related to new and existing accounting pronouncements

•Oversee the preparation of material for inclusion in the quarterly Audit Committee presentation

•Support the preparation of the Group annual 10K/A and proxy filings

•Provide guidance to operational finance teams to ensure significant transactions are properly accounted for and disclosed

•Work closely as a business partner with various stakeholders within group finance and across the company including Global Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury and Investor Relations

•Maintain appropriate SOX process and control documentation, ensuring the proper design and execution of internal controls and assists in the coordination of SOX control

•Liaise with external auditors to ensure that consolidated external reporting, including the financial statements are reviewed and filed within deadlines

•Effectively lead and develop staff and work in a collaborative environment

•Work individually and as part of a team to generate efficiency in the use of Finance related IT systems, utilising the ERP and consolidation systems to their full potential

•Other ad hoc duties/projects as may arise

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•7-10 years of post-qualification relevant work experience

•Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and SOX

•Demonstrated analytical and communication skills

•Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

•Ability to organize work effectively and meet deadlines

•Demonstrated ability to lead and coach team members

•Ability to work independently and possess the initiative to identify problems and propose solutions

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

•Big 4 accounting firm training and ACA qualification required, experience working on listed clients and/or consolidations strongly preferred
