JOB SPEC
  • Lead Company External Operations Risk Management Process with a cross functional team
  • Partner with External Operations colleagues to identify, evaluate, manage and mitigate risks across the internal and external commercial network.
  • Partner with Commercial Supply Chain, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Quality, Technical Operations, EHSS, and other functions as required across the internal network, to deliver value driven risk management strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Develop and implement processes to reduce supply chain risk exposure to Supplier information security breach in partnership with IT colleagues.
  • Develop and implement processes to assess supplier business continuity planning, manage the assessments and recommend continuous improvement strategies.
  • Develop and implement processes to assess supplier financial health, manage the assessments and recommend continuous improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing and category management colleagues to translate supplier risk profile into Company’ long term sourcing strategy.
  • Continuously improve the Risk Management process to best practices with guidance from the leadership team.
  • Drive integration of the risk management process with other key supply chain processes.
  • Appraise the External Operations Leadership team of areas of high risk to the business together with mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams in applying best risk management standards and driving a risk awareness culture.
  • Establish appropriate KPI’s to demonstrate performance and identify opportunities for improvement across areas of responsibility.
  • Implement the strategic direction for External manufacturing risk reduction efforts and execute tactical and strategic risk discovery events.
  • Develop strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent Company across the network in a manner consistent with our Purpose and Values.
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports External Operations Policies and systems, and appropriate regulations in small molecule Pharma.
  • Assist with the preparation and management of departmental budgets.

PERSON SPEC
  • Established business qualification with related experience.
  • Masters in a Supply Chain or Business preferred.
  • 5 years progressive experience in Pharma / Biopharma desirable.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry with quality management systems is desirable, including general knowledge of GMP and CFR’s.
  • Experience with Smartsheet or other visual management dashboard systems preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills – ability to influence and motivate others to quickly achieve results.
  • High energy and passion for excellence.
  • Self-confident with an ability to accept and respond to challenges in a positive manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including workshop facilitation experience.
  • Ability to effectively present complex topics in a concise manner.
  • Effective risk management experience.
  • Positive attitude, strong collaboration and interpersonal skills required to effectively address problems and interface with other functional areas while working in a global environment.
  • Position based in Ireland. Travel domestic and international – up to 20%.
