Job Description
Our client, now seeks a Business Systems Analyst who will work closely with the Corporate IS Team to lead the; design, development, testing, and implementation of computer systems, to better manage the business through use of KPIs.
The successful candidate will lead the development of interfaces between ERP system and Business Process Management (BPM). The ideal candidate will be proficiency in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and the ability to design, deliver and support efficient and scalable technical architectures and designs.
This is a permanent role based in Connaught and will impact a number of manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities for Business Systems Programmer:
Lead the participation in the development and support of several custom applications covering concepts such as: Business Process Management, "What-if" Analysis; Business Intelligence/Analytics and increased business process efficiency.
Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
Analyse, requirements gathering, design of technical specifications, coding, testing and support of new and existing web and database driven applications.
Accomplishes software requirements by developing and maintaining applications and databases including complete and thorough documentation.
Create a "What-if" model using various inputs to project future costs based on manufacturing volumes and other variables.
Develop SQL Queries and Business Intelligence / Analytics tools to enable the organization to better manage the business through use of KPIs.
Maintains computer systems and programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
Requirements for Business Systems Programmer:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems / Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
7+ years' experience in Information Systems with at least 3 of those as a Programmer or expert in development on analytics, BPM, or Excel.
Experience as a Programmer and System Analyst (required);
Desired: Business Analyst; Project Manager; or Program Manager.
Programming experience (interfaces between ERP systems, other software, and use of APIs).
SQL Queries / Reporting: Crystal Reports; MS SQL Server; Power Query;
Ideally experience with Business Process Management (BPM) tools such as: Bizagi, K2, Appian, Pega, AuraPortal, Tibco, BP Logix, or AgilePoint.
Desired: ERP Experience (SAP, Oracle, SYSPRO, MS Dynamics, Sage, Infor, Epicor, Great Plains).
Desired: Analytics (QlikView, Tableau, Spotfire, MS PowerBI, etc.) development experience (design experience a plus).
Preferred: Expert level of Excel Skills (Vlookup, Slicers, Pivot table, Power Query, Macro, complex formula, etc.)
