Job Description
My client a leading Medtech company now require an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join their expanding team.
The Equipment Maintenance Technician will responsible for the set-up, installation and maintenance of both manual and automated equipment to ensure optimum performance and support the achievement of operational goals.
This is a permanent role based in The Midlands commutable from parts of Dublin and Galway.
Responsibilities of Equipment Maintenance Technician
Repair and troubleshoot electro/mechanical equipment failures.
Schedule and perform preventative maintenance procedures.
Perform equipment installations and moves.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.
Record significant downtime issues and resolutions in appropriate dbases.
Interact with other departments as required to co-ordinate equipment repairs.
Work proactively to ensure performance targets are met; Yield/quality (using SPC/SQC)/production outs/up-time /process stability.
Communicate potential problems that may affect capacity & quality to the process team Leader as well as across zones/work center's where necessary - attends pass-downs as required.
Provide detailed inputs into failed spare parts management process.
Ensure that all FDA regulatory requirements are adhered to and that all procedures are followed.
Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices & Good Documentation Practices are followed.
Will abide to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Policies and any relevant other EHS documentation.
Will comply with all relevant training required and adhere to relevant associated documentation.
Follow strict adherence to the requirements of CGMP.
Actively contribute to the enhancement of compliance initiatives for areas of responsibility.
Requirements of Equipment Maintenance Technician:
Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in medical device or similar industry with an established track record.
Cert./Diploma/Senior Trades in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Working knowledge of PLCs, motor drives, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
Demonstrate a high level of technical ability.
Must be flexible to working shifts - a shift premium will also be paid
