Facilities Engineer
Our client, a multinational healthcare manufacturing company based in Cork, now seek a Facilities Engineer on a permanent basis to oversee the maintenance management programme utilizing preventative maintenance techniques.

The successful candidate will work in cross-functional partnerships to provide ongoing maintenance support in order to facilitate a smooth operation of all on site equipment in line with regulatory guidelines.


The ideal candidate will ensure effective and efficient management of day to day activities.


Responsibilities for Facilities Engineer:
Supervision of Facilities Contractors specialist and in house.
Management of external contractors such as Sprinkler, Building, Electrical and Mechanical.
Project Management, day to day low level to large capital projects.
Waste Management.
Working on projects, office and production equipment relocation.
Budgeting and cost control.
Cost Efficiencies, Resource utilisation.
Energy requirements and utilisation.
Health & Safety Issues.
Environmental management procedures and surveys.
Familiarity with Autocad.
Familiarity with building contracts, service contracts and service level agreements.
Familiarity with computerised preventive maintenance and plant/building maintenance.
Knowledge of interior space planning.
Knowledge of Safety file.
Building, services and infrastructure inspections.
Disaster recovery / emergency planning.
Statutory compliance.
Validation of Services and Process.


Requirements for Facilities Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree (level 8) in Engineering or relevant discipline
4 years' experience in GMP manufacturing facility.
Building Services, Mechanical, Construction Management, Architecture
Experienced with CAD, BMS/CMS.
Project Management skills would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent communications ability.
Experience in problem solving and process improvement methodologies.
