Financial Accountant, Pharma
Our client is a major multinational pharmaceutical company based in Dublin now has a 6 month fixed term contract for a Financial Accountant role.
This role will involve considerable interaction with cross functional colleagues both in Ireland and the US and will support the following activities:
The ideal candidate will have proven Financial Accounting experience in manufacturing (ideally Pharmaceuticals) and ability to build and maintain a network of key individuals necessary for obtaining and disseminating information critical to the manufacturing business operations.
Responsibilities of Financial Accountant:
Management of metrics for PoU Finance globally.
Contract reviewer for PoU Finance globally.
Virtual Plant Team PoU finance issue global Co-Ordinator.
Visual management responsibilities for PoU Finance globally.
Business risk management led for PoU Finance globally.
Management of supplier solvency annual review.
Finance lead for indirect taxes support.
Tracking of PoU global monthly write offs.
Tracking of PoU finance global project support.
Co-ordinator for PoU Finance Quarterly meetings.
Act as designee in respect of activities including approval of orders, journals, account reconciliation and acting as an expert reviewer on legal contracts
Requirements for Financial Accountant:
A qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with proven knowledge of financial analysis, accounting principles, internal controls, and business partnering.
Demonstrated ability to work with and manage cross functional teams in a complex, changing environment to deliver value-added results from an overall corporate perspective.
Knowledge of US GAAP as well as local accounting principles.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and persuade others to accomplish challenging goals and objectives.
SAP transactional knowledge desirable.
Desirable skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively and to influence with authority.
Develops strong, effective work relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills in the execution of job responsibilities.
Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Strong administration, organisational & IT skills
