Job Description
Our client, an emerging biotech company, now seek a highly motivated Head of Development for the development and commercialization of their new novel cutting edge technology focusing particularly on immuno-oncology application using gene editing tools and cell re-engineering techniques.
This is a permanent role based in the greater Dublin area and will report directly to the company's CEO. This role will represent an attractive opportunity to an entrepreneurial minded individual, with significant Biotech experience who wishes to be part of ground breaking technology.
The succcessful candidate will lead the development and implementation of patented platform technologies for the manufacture of biological therapeutics, driving technology development from lab scale to commercial GMP manufacture.
This hire will be a member of the core leadership team, representing the company at collaborator meetings and during technical discussions.
Requirements for Head of Development, Bioprocess Technology:
Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Biochemical, Process or Bioprocess Engineering is highly desirable.
10+ years relevant experience in process development and scale-up of a mammalian cell culture production processes to commercial GMP manufacture.
Proven track record in leading a team of technology focused engineers or scientists.
Proven ability to analytically review experimental results.
Experience of developing cell based quality control test methods.
Ability to effectively manage multiple, complex priorities is highly desirable.
Experience with advanced molecules such as mRNA, proteins and gene editing tools is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, good presentation, negotiations and influencing skills.
