Lean Transformation Manager, Blackbelt role
Our client, a large multinational company, now seek a Lean Transform Manager to lead the Lean Change Management programme across their site which will improve; quality and compliance, drive efficiencies and double output for the site.

The successful candidate will lead the implementation of the Continuous Improvement strategy for the plant in partnership with relevant departments that will see sustained lean manufacturing principles and structured problem solving culture fully implemented into the business.

Ideally this hire will be experienced in leading an organisation through continuous improvement program, i.e.; lead the training, executing, and measuring of the lean quality implementation strategy across a site.


Person Spec:
Ability to challenge, develop and coach the site leadership team in the delivery of the CI strategy.
Act as a change agent for leading and managing Continuous Improvement processes whilst investing in and developing a culture of accountability.
Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with key stakeholders, using strong interpersonal skills.
Builds and leads high performing teams and encourages collaboration.
Strong leadership ability, mentoring and coaching skills.


Responsibilities Lean Transform Manager, Blackbelt role:
Ensure appropriate Quality Assurance standards of finished products.
Understand the knowledge base requirement for all roles and develop relevant training materials to enable operations become self-sufficient in lean manufacturing.
Provide statistical analysis support and direction across the business where appropriate.
Create processes and metrics (KPIs) to track the performance of lean activities and ensure sustainability along with identifying priorities and leading improvement projects to achieve measurable quality and efficiency benefits.
Ensure a clear, concise communication of Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives to all levels to include the Lean strategy, successes achieved, lessons learned and planned lean activities.
Investigate and resolve all critical supply issues and all customer complaints.
Play a key part in actively leading all site teams to reduce waste, improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs and improve utilization and cycle times.

Requirements for Lean Transform Manager, Blackbelt role:
Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering preferred or commensurate experience.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent essential.
Proven ability to define the strategic vision, identify opportunities to create long-term value and drive improvement, and share the vision convincingly to inspire change.
5 years management experience in a manufacturing Quality environment.
3 years of Lean experience with demonstrable experience in prior Lean transformations.
2 years' experience leading continuous improvement activities and lean manufacturing techniques.
Effective implementation of visual management techniques.
Experience with value stream mapping to drive waste elimination.
Experience and understanding of Lean tools such as 5S, 5-Why problem solving, SMED, TPM.
Ability to implement and optimize production / process management to meet the planned customer service levels, the required quality standard, at the required cost.
Proven experience in developing people through ongoing feedback, development plans to enable people reach their full potential.
Ability to detail and report on the financial benefit of lean improvement projects and maintain budget overheads.
