Manufacturing Lead Engineer
Required to provide professional and technical leadership to a team of Manufacturing Engineers on product and process issues, particularly in transferring and implementing processes either from development or from another manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in identifying and scoping out projects which will result in improvements across key metrics of; quality, service & cost and will have strong technical engineering experience.

This is a permanent technical engineering role with a leading healthcare provider in Cork area.

Responsibilities of Manufacturing Lead Engineer;
Manage a team of manufacturing engineers and programme manage; lean manufacturing, process improvement and cost reduction engineering projects.
Use statistical analysis and empirical methods in the identification of yield and efficiency issues, and provide detailed reports on the improvements achieved.
Participate in the phase review process and the New Products Excellence (NPE) meetings with respect to new products.
Maintain a valid capacity model in co-operation with Operations and conduct adequate advance planning for required capital.
Responsible for other projects as assigned by the company.
Understands and comply with all the regulations governing the quality systems
Engage fully with the performance management system on site, and utilize the development program to build a skill base appropriate to the requirements of the business.

Requirements of Manufacturing Lead Engineer:
Honours Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production Engineering or Science discipline
7+ years' experience in similar role in manufacturing industry.
Proven people management & Project Management experience.
Strong technical capabilities and project management capability to develop aspect of assigned projects on time and within budget.
Experience in problem solving and process improvement methodologies, ideally with structured analytical & problem solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good leadership abilities.
