Medical Advisor, Global role in CNS
Our client is a Biotech company with an exciting pipeline of drug compounds in development, now have approval for a newly created role of Medical Advisor with a strategic mindset to be a crucial part of the Medical Affairs organisation while supporting all other functions in a small and agile team.

The successful hire will together with the Head of Medical Affairs and the cross-functional team develop and execute a global medical strategy and related tactics, appropriately aligned with overall product and R&D strategy.

This hire will drive the development of a Scientific Communications Platform and the execution of scientific communication and educational initiatives, in line with Clinical Development Plan and the development of an evidence generation plan.

The ideal candidate will have a scientific/medical background; well-seasoned in evidence generation both through the pivotal program as well as additional evidence generation, skilled in establishing strong relationships with all relevant external parties including patient organisations and is interested and experienced in executing a scientific communications plan.

Responsibilities:
Deliver scientific and medical input on the Clinical Development Plan and drive the development of an evidence generation plan including value adding evidence needs beyond regulatory end-points.
Provide input to Health Economic data needs.
Acting as a company representative with external scientific leaders/physicians, patient organizations and regulatory authorities.
Establish strategic world-wide partnerships with centers of excellence and thought leaders in the areas of CNS.
Identify data and insight gaps and define strategies and tactics to address these gaps proactively using a diverse selection of appropriate methods to generate insights and data (e.g., advisory boards, scientific data generation efforts, other).
Ensure that the treatment value is articulated in a scientific way in the framework of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) discussion.
Support market access plan.
Establish close collaboration with Patient and Carer organisations.
Support medical review of materials.

Requirements:
MD or PhD with neuroscience background.
5+ years’ experience in international or global role in medical affairs in the pharmaceutical industry.
Proven knowledge and experience of the overall drug development process as well as of health economy and access considerations and principles.
Experience in CNS disease is a must.
Experience from the dynamic environment in smaller biopharma is a strong benefit.
Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, diligence and ability to execute on a strategic plan.
Good negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
Proven ability to successfully achieve results within a multi-cultural and geographically diverse cross-functional team.
Exhibits high motivation and high energy level, self-starter.
