Job Description
Our client, a World Class Manufacturing Medtech company, who going through rapid growth due to a numerous new product introductions from both R&D and recently medical acquisitions, now seek a Project Manager who will lead NPD & NPI projects on their site in Cork. This is a permanent role.
The successful candidate will manage a cross-functional development teams which includes; leading cross functional teams; providing input to functional managers on team and team member performance. Ideally, this hire will be experienced in managing technical challenges of medical technology applications and new product development, including technical risks.
Responsibilities of NPI Project Manager:
Manages key initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes; develops (with assistance) and implements project plan; builds team ownership and commitment to project plan.
Implements TDP/PDP; leads team to complete activities to current policies and practices; keeps documentation organized, creates Scaling Plan and Technical Files/ Dossiers for the project.
Responsible for team and cross-functional communications; liaison between the team and the PIB; leads phase and business reviews, project meeting minutes, issues log, metrics, and other key communications.
Requirements for NPI Project Manager:
Honours Bachelors Degree in Science, Engineering or similar technical discipline.
Additional Masters or Qualification in Project Management is preferred.
4+ years of project management/operations/new product development experience
Strong experience in project managing significant new product activities that require collaboration with R&D, Program Management, Regulatory Affairs, QA, Process Development, Engineering and Operations.
Proven leadership skills in change management and project management
Excellent verbal and written communications to project team and all stakeholders
Must be strong in people management and team building.
Must be proficient with MS Project.
