Operations Manager
Our client, a blue-chip multinational healthcare manufacturing company based in Connaught, now seeks an experienced candidate who will ensure all targets (KPIs) for the group are continuously met, realising improved profitability on P&L accounts and delivering customer satisfaction.


The successful candidate will lead the strategy, planning, and management of all aspects of operations, championing change and leading continuous improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a people centred approach to their management style, while possessing drive, high energy and ability to work under pressure and deliver results.


Responsibilities of Operations Manager:
Manage the Unit's Business Support Groups to ensure the timely and appropriate availability of documentation, equipment, and related activities.
Line management of production supervisors and technical support staff as appropriate.
Responsible for co-ordinating NPI with Engineering, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain Planning.
Lead activities within the business to ensure all goals and targets are continuously met.
Lead and develop the team and ensure ongoing coaching and mentoring is provided to meet the demands of the business needs.
Continuously drive and promote the core values and behaviours, driving commitment to teamwork.
Support the sales forecast and ensure compliance with all internal and external requirements.
Establish and set the priorities for production schedules.
Achieve budgeted targets with respect to product quality, departmental spending, labour efficiency and production yields.
Manage the operation of the business to ensure compliance with established SOPs and GMP guidelines.
Strong level of organization; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize.


Requirements for Operations Manager:
Honours Bachelor?s Degree in Production, Manufacturing, Engineering or Science.
10 years? experience in Engineering / Production roles.
4 years? experience in leadership role within a fast paced highly regulated environment.
Proven experience with lean manufacturing or six sigma techniques, driving operational improvements.
Must be able to demonstrate personal leadership experience, leading positive employee engagement.
Have excellent working knowledge of manufacturing and industry ?best practice?.
Must be a pro-active self-starter and an excellent communicator with exceptional problem solving skills.
